In October of each year, Moncton Headstart asks the community at-large to donate gently used or new coats, snowsuits, hats, mittens, scarves, and boots for children of all ages, newborn to teenager. All are cleaned and prepared to give to children in need on a Saturday morning, typically early in November.
There are usually 300 to 400 children who receive winter wear from Coats for Kids.
Coats for Kids 2015 provided winter coats to over 500 children.
Coats for Kids 2016 was held on Saturday, November 5th from 9 am to 12 noon. 761 children received warm winter coats at this year’s event. Thank you to all our supporters!
Moncton Headstart is grateful to all sponsors. Coats for Kids wouldn’t be as successful without the countless individual donations that are being made year after year. Thank you so much for all your help! Outstanding contributions to the Coats for Kids program are made by
