In October of each year, Moncton Headstart asks the community at-large to donate gently used or new coats, snowsuits, hats, mittens, scarves, and boots for children of all ages, newborn to teenager. All are cleaned and prepared to give to children in need on a Saturday morning, typically early in November.
There are usually 300 to 400 children who receive winter wear from Coats for Kids.
Coats for Kids 2019 provided winter coats to over 725 children.
Thank you to all our supporters!
Coats for Kids 2020 is scheduled for November 3 to 7.
Due to Covid-19, there will be a few changes to the program to keep everyone safe.
You may register for Coats for Kids by clicking the button “Apply for Coats for Kids” on the home page of our website. Please complete the form and press submit. A volunteer will contact you to schedule an appointment for Coats for Kids.
If you do not have access to the Internet, you may also pick up a registration form at Moncton Headstart (Monday to Friday from 8 am to 4 pm) and return the completed form to our office.
Thank you for helping keep everyone safe!
