School Supplies Drive
Update July 2023

School Supplies will be run differently this year at Moncton Headstart. Due to capacity issues, we will not be distributing school supplies to families.

Instead, we will redirect all school supply donations to schools (Anglophone and Francophone) in and around the Greater Moncton, Riverview, and Dieppe areas, through grades K-12.

This will help ensure that school’s benefit from the generosity of school supply donations from our communities and they can then help the school kids in need in their schools, as necessary.

If you’re in need of assistance with school supplies this year, please reach out to the school(s) your child or children attend in September.

Moncton Headstart will be accepting all school supply related donations from August 14th until September 8th, 2023, exclusively and will distribute to schools the following week.

Children’s Charity Golf Classic

July 21, 2022

Supported by the Greater Moncton Women’s Progress Club and Wvyerstone, the 29th Annual Children’s Charity Golf Classic will be held on Thursday, July 21st, 2022 at Royal Oaks Golf Club. The proceeds from this tournament support  Headstart.

For more information, call us at 506-858-8252.

Toyland - CLOSED

Toyland ensures kids in need in the greater Moncton area have gifts under the tree for Christmas each year.

Over 1500 children received gifts for Christmas this year because of the incredible community support.

THANK YOU to everyone who donated, dropped off gifts and volunteered. We couldn’t have done it without you.

Coats for Kids - CLOSED

Each October, our kind community donates new and gently used coats, and other winter wear for children of all ages.

Coats can be dropped off at Headstart from 8am-4pm Monday through Friday, or donated at participating Jean Coutu locations on Mountain Road, Dieppe and Riverview.

Coats will be distributed to those most in need on Friday, November 4th from 9am -12pm and then 1pm-3pm while supplies last.

To make sure that children truly in need receive a warm coat this winter, we must ask that you bring several pieces of ID with you when you arrive to pick up coats. You’ll need to show:

1) Proof of NB address (driver’s license, lease, and/or utility bill)

2) Documentation proving your child’s/children’s date of birth (birth certificate, NB medicare card)

3) Proof of income (child tax benefit, GST Notice or proof of NB Social Assistance)
